Is a pretty good place to live.
We tend to miss most of the really bad weather. That is all. |
|
I thought you lived in Ninnekah! Hell, that ain't Chicksasha. I use to tell Ziggy that Chickasha was really moving up in the world. That they'd got a flushing toilet at the county courthouse. I used to schedule Chickasha in games when I was a sport coordinator for Under 12 and Under 14 boys. People hated going down there to play.
I always enjoyed the car show and eating at Jakes. My wife is talking about taking her folks down there tomorrow for lunch if the roads aren't icy. |

I can tell you that the kids are pissed cuz we're in school today. I have had a total of 45 kids absent from my classes today. When I was in school, as long as the buses could drive through the snow, we went to school. Its gotten to the point that if a snow flake falls on the road, the schools panic and close

| Its the same distance for me to drive to Chickasha or Lawton for shopping. The wife and I go to one of those places at least once week. Thats price we pay for living in the middle of no where. I enjoy the Wal-Mart in Chickasha more then Lawton. The ones in Lawton seem to have a lot of thugs. |

If I must leave town to goto a Supercenter then I head towards Chickasha. I do not like going to Lawton unless I have to goto Sams |

I don't know when it became fashionable to let your kids stay home and do what they damn well please, BUT it was DAMN quiet in the classroom today. I needed that. |

I got a paid admin day today had to get out of the house to go feed the animals though, it was a slick bitch when it was bare ice (I slipped a time or three), not so bad once the snow fell on top of the ice though. |
|
My dad and I drove the back roads for a few days picking up poles. The electric guys told us we could have whatever we wanted just dont mess with any wires. I got a lot of poles for fences and some really good long ones for tree stands and sniper platforms for coyotes.
I enjoyed being able to get the poles but I dont want to go thru that mess again. Although I cant say we rouged it. I fired up the generator and we had lights and sat tv and watched movies. My cook stove is gas so the wife was preparing meals like normal. |

Wiley Post knew where Ninnekah is. He was arrested there. Went to prison too. He was dying of "melancholy" so they released him. After he "made it" the powers that be cleaned up his record. Edited to add... Today he would just be another convicted felon that could never own a weapon or ever be trusted again. |
