I think we need to update the sticky at the top, it has the link to the Nov 2007 SDA book. I think just linking to the OSBI page would be a little more beneficial, as it has the application, FAQs, the current book, etc.

I'm not talking about how long it CAN take, but rather how long it IS taking. Have to say it twice for your hard headed Okies.

I got involved in trying to bring FLETC and Dept of Homeland Security stuff to OU and the NCED back in 2003. We even had some military involved in the effort. One of the guys, a Navy LTC, was in civvies the whole time. He told me that after the bombing all kinds of things changed, like he wore civvies on commercial airliners, his passport was a civilian issue, and he hardly ever showed his mil ID.
Then I went to work for the OKARNG. I got access to almost anything I wanted, including the arms vaults, in any of the armories without showing an ID. Out of the 50 or so "readiness centers" I audited, only a couple of NCOICs asked for an ID. I'm surprised anybody asks for a military ID anymore except the military. |
