I had another small buck in my sites this evening and thought about taking him. I'm tempted to take a nice antlered buck just to piss my son off. 
It's competition thing. But then I think about how bad the last ten pointer I shot tasted and think it's just not worth it. That video of that buck was taken about 5 minutes before my son ran the cameras. He's working hard to get a nice buck on our place and I'm gonna let him do it. But he better do it soon.

I can't stay away. I'm going to come back to OK Monday - Wednesday next week for one last shot at getting a nice buck.
After that I'll be hunting exclusively here at home in Texas. I have a nice buck picked out on my Texas lease but I enjoy hunting the family land in OK. Good luck to your son getting one of those mature bucks. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
