Here's my latest antique acquisition:

I thought you might like to see it.
I know it can't compare with your collection of velvet Elvis paintings.
I know wash stands like that are common in Kentucky where only the uppity folks have indoor plumbing, but I got it for $25 at a garage sale and thought it was a deal.
Probably manufactured around the 1920s to 1930s.

Concrete blocks and 2x4s work fine for me

You can take the boy out of the barn but you can't take the barn out of the boy.

haha you and me both.  get this, i used to deliver papers and one night when i was in an apartment complex i spy a wooden item by a dumpster; get out to check it out and its a dining room table with 2 leaves; all in great condition, except its missing the legs.  lol no prob, cinder blocks and a couple 2x6s will work.  i have had it now for 4 years and use it as my computer desk.

Did that come from the shop with the sign out front: "New antiques made daily!"?

Sure didn't!
The table I had there before it is worth about 4x what that wash stand is.
That wash stand is worth about $100. It's probably not going to do down in value.
I've got one small table that has been in the family since the 1830s.
And no PC, I didn't buy it new.

you'd think that as Old as Dan's getting to be that everything he owned would be an antique, hell he's so old that when he out grew his baby shoes bronze hadn't even been invented yet.
