ham/cheese potato soup I cooked up, started out going to make some scallop potatoes, but hell that takes longer than I felt like waiting to eat, so soup it was.

it's too bad I don't have a camera, this soup looks and tastes pretty damn good, could just be I hadn't ate since noon saturday, and/or that it's 50 deg in my house.

So you were going to make scalloped potatos, but failed, so it wound up being soup? Kind of like when I try to make an omlet and fail, and it winds up being scrambled eggs with ham and cheese?

no, I sliced up the taters getting ready to make scallop potatoes, then thought I could be eating potato soup in 30 minutes instead of scallop potatoes in an hour or so, so soup it was.
