I need a good gun smith in the Tulsa area to do some work for me. I used to use Joe MacKool but rumor has it, he passed away. I know nothing about the guys that own his shop now. Can anyone recommend a shop for me?

Some people are going to recommend some different people depending on what you need done. Can you give us a rough idea of what you need done (ie: custom work on a 1911, M1 Garand match prep work, AR-15 stuff, etc.)?

mostly Ar-15 and shotgun stuff. I shoot a ton of skeet. I would like to have the length of pull adjusted on my Beretta 390 and maybe some porting on it as well. I also have some parts laying around i would like to assemble an AR-15 upper out of in the near future.

McKools is still open. I believe the man who owns it now is named Dave?

Joe McCool did pass away a few years ago.  Great loss.  He worked on all my guns and was first rate.  I havn't used the guy who took over his shop but I think he may have been working with Joe when Joe came down sick and couldn't continue.  They're at 31st and Sheridan next to Mall 31.  DThe place is still called McCools Guns.
