!!! Almost literaly look like the broke tooth 'smiley'.... 'cept I didn't loose any teeth. Just beat up.

Yep. Got clobbered in the head trying to pull a strawwalker out the ass-end of a JD 9610. Not too badly hurt really. However the little 'industrial accident' split the shit out of my leftside-upper lip!

I spent over three hours at the emergency room getting my upper lip stitched up(only required three stitches), then having to wait for my blood pressure to drop before they would release me.

Hell!....They didn't even shave off my mustache! Kind of hides the damage. I even went back to work for most of the afternoon.

I sure hope I ain't got any dain bramage!

pfffffffffft..........three stitches

10 or 12 years back a good friend of mine's dad had a tractor roll on him, broke him all up, ribs, shoulder broke, jaw hanging off his face, one of the damn softtop rods ran through his neck out his cheek, the old man crawled outta under it though and walked a mile back to my bud's house holding his jaw back on and had him drive him to the hospital,

then several years after that one of their neighbors fell off his tractor while disking a field, said the rumor around the local store was that he had a heart attack, if he did maybe he didn't feel the disk cutting him all to pieces.

I am sympathetic. My level of sympathy will be determined by a detailed graphic image of the injury.
Why would I want to waste perfectly good sympathy if it wasn't necessary?
After all, we are conservatives here.

I've climbed in steel several stories above the ground to run conduit, I've been damned near knocked off a top floor with a crane swinging a scaffold for a pan job,
I never got seriously hurt. I have seen people die on the job but I was really lucky myself.
I've cut or bruised myself innumerable times working with my hands, and I still cuss like a drunken sailor when I do it now.
The thing is if you don't work in dangerous areas or jobs except every once in a while, you lose your awareness of how dangerous things can be and become more apt to have something happen unless you make a real conscious effort to stay safe.
A  few stitches in the lip is a lot better than losing an eye.
I'm glad you're not hurt too bad. You'll get better for sure!!!!!

I got a 41 ford 9N and it bites me at least once a year, hence the crash helmet.
