Does anybody own/ or have you shot a Glock 26 before? How does it compare to the 19 or 17? You know...Accuracy, weight, concealablity? And as for you 1911 fiends.........Don't be trolling my thread with your pro-1911 bologna. We all know the Glock is superior and I would hate to start another Glock VS. 1911 conflict! Thanks for the info. |

I shoot G26 at least as well as I shoot G19s. In fact, I prefer the 26 to the 19. Of course, the 17 and 34 are better still. I find that the 19 is redundant; anytime that I can carry a 19, I can carry a 17 just as easily. If I can't conceal a 17, I'll go to the 26. However, this is all moot. At least a dozen Glocks since my first, I'm totally Glock-Free these days. I carry a USPc .40 full time.

I have had a few but be ready to invest in the mag extensions that are contoured to allov one more finger on the grip or you will have the uncomfortable feeling of having a finger hanging loose under the pistol. I had no problems with mine but dont realy expect to much over a 10 to 15 yard accuracy but hey maybe thats just me they are realy small but great for conceal and carry and self deffense wich would usualy be up close and personal anyway. But this is coming from a guy who cant hit the broad side of a barn with a snub nose revolver it his life depended on it. I carry a Sig P226 NAVY model nowadays and love the Hell out of it but its only because I ended up with a little extra cash a while back and had always wanted one. |

It's the best of the mini Glocks but I'd still rather have the mid size 19. Your J frame has the Glock beat for a pocket gun. That is actually what I was most curious about. I like my J-frame but I really wanted to make sure I was not missing any other "Fine" points. Thanks for the info guys. |

It should be carried in a holster, with the trigger covered. After all, it is a Glock. The J frame has almost every gun beaten hands down when it comes to being a pocket gun. |

I shot Sumo's mini glock and it was a great gun I think Glocks are the best pistols on the planet It's always nice to know that there are a few people out there with some really good taste. +1 for Alphagunner. Now all we have to do is get Chuck into the "Glock" frame of mind and he'll be a much better for it. That offer still stands to shoot my 17 Chuck!! In all honesty they just don't do it for me. I "grew up" with a 1911 and thats what I'm used to and like. I have shot and owned a few glocks. There is no way in this world that they will ever be "sexy" like a 1911. Glocks are fine for someone to carry that is not a "gun guy".

| I like Glocks, I carry a 30, I like the 45 ACP round, you can use the 21, 13 round mag then you can add the add on extension and it holds even more. The 30SF is nice, my hand can fit around it not like the 30. The 36 is nice and small but it only holds 6 in the mag. |

Define: Gun Guy???? You mean someone who is proficient with all types of firearms or someone disagrees with the fact that glocks are outstanding weapons???? Or maybe someone that................????

Someone who has to carry a gun for work, but only really shoots it for qualification.
OR, those poor misguided souls who would forget to breathe if it wasn't a reflex function ![]() Good enough for you? ![]() |
| Well.....It appears that you and I will never agree on this subject. I would love to see some comparitive data on the 9mm and the .45 done buy the same shooter who is well known in the shooting community. Todd Jarrett, Rob Latham, or the like. I would be interested to see the bullistics, accuracy, shooter fatigue, round stability and other info produced by the study. |

Don't take it personally Higgi, I'm giving you jazz Its as simple as the grip angle is different between the 1911 and the glock. So they will fit in your hand and point differently.
Now I'm not getting into an argument on 9mm vs .45! |

Now I'm not getting into an argument on 9mm vs .45! yeah man, since both are just fine when shooting ammo loaded with a good hollowpoint like the XTP, seen an article recently where hornady released ammo called something along the lines of "critical defense" loaded with a new hollowpoint called the FTX or something like that, that will expand to 1 1/2 times it's diameter when shooting through heavy clothing/material instead of plugging up like most hollowpoints do and acting like a fmj. but if you're shooting strictly fmj's, then the 45acp is the way to go then again I think glock guys just like to argue how outdated design the 1911 is, when they oughta be looking at the XD when concidering a plastic gun. |

I think that Kimber did. It was a double stack gun. Only made it for a couple of years. Something like a "big ten"? |
