to get a set of 30mm scope rings to go on a flat top AR. I wanted some that would not require the use of a spacer. The "gunsmith" said nobody makes anything like that. So I came home and found them at MidwayUSA. I try to spend money locally. With sevice being a thing of the past, why bother? |
I went to H and H today to look at 642's and CCW's. The guy who showed me a couple of guns pissed me off so bad I handed him the gun I was looking at back, and went to Mustang and bought one. All he wanted to do was sell me the most expensive thing in the case and move on to the next customer. |

guess the dude never heard of millet, leupold, buris, warne etc huh? hell higgi, all you had to do when the dude started talking about a gun you didn't want is give him the crazy face like your fixing to poke his left eye out if he don't stop speaking to you and he'd most like be quiet for a bit, at least long enough to finger poke the gun. or one that gets an even funnier responce from gunshop monkeys is to say: "dude, you're talking and don't even know what your saying", that one sentence in any situation always puts the brakes on a conversation. of course those are part of the reasons gunshop monkeys carry, the other part is they just wanna look like they know what they're talking about |

Ah, guys, be nice -- they gotta make a living -- it's for the children, ya know. I don't buy stuff in their either, but I will never give up my membership. Too close to home, too easy to go shoot and since they upgraded the range side is well worth the money. Besides, where else can a girl go so some guy can tell her she don't know shit about guns? (Except here, of course!!) |
Thats one of the main reasons I don't go there anymore in the summer time.. And the fact that they don't allow targets with faces on them. I took one my LEO target that we shoot for training in the Academy which at the time it had a face on it and they told me that I could not shot my LEO target because it had a face on it. Haven't been back since...... |

In H&H's defense, they have a very large inventory, and a very large store. Those are expensive to maintain. Of course the customer pays for that... If you have another store in OKC that has STI, Wilson Combat, and most of the Springfield and S&W lines in stock at all times, let me know. |

That's no reason to tell me that nobody makes what I need. I'm not in the gun industy and I know somebody makes it. I used to do more business there. A guy named Will is really helpful and a great guy IMHO. When I was looking for a CCW he was carrying guns in his pockets and going back and forth so I could do side by side comparisons. |
Ha! They were raffling off a Wilson Combat 1911 not too long ago. I was jonesing all over the place until I saw that it had an H&H logo etched onto the slide. I asked the range guy if I won it would they throw in removing the logo because I thought it reduced the value of the gun. He looked at me for a minute like, "huh?" and then he and I had a great laugh. Needless to say, the raffle didn't get any of my money. Damn shame to do that to a Wilson Combat. |
Consignment guns are priced by the seller. They will have a low dollar amount on file. why don't you make an offer? |
