All- I'm looking for a reputable smith to perform some work for me. Specifically I'm making a SBS (short barrel shotgun) out of a new Stoeger SxS (side by side) I need someone who will cut the barrel, clean up the end, solder/weld the barrels, touch-up blue it and maybe move the bead. I'd appreciate recommendations from first hand experience; but I'll also take any second hand recommendations any of you may have. Thanks much! -Scott OKC, OK |

Scott, if you can make it out to Mechanical Accuracy in Jones, Steve Baldwin may do it for you. He's one of the best on shotguns in the nation. He gets lots of work doing custom chokes on some very expensive shotguns. I haven't heard from him or know any one who's had him do work lately. He may be out of business. I don't know. But if he's still in business, he's the one to go to. |
