any of ya'll seen this flick? it's pretty decent, it's not a true vigilante flick like chuck bronson was in death wish, it's got Jody Foster as a woman that gets beat into a three week coma, comes outta it with a "I'm not gonna take it anymore" stand, buys an khar 9 and makes up new rules as she goes along, kinda reminds me of what the media was reporting on back in the 80s when Bernard Getts lit those 5 black dudes up that were fucking with him on the subway in new york. |

I saw it. It was fun to watch, especially having been to New York for the first time at Christmas and getting a glimpse of how people live there. I think it is interesting that our culture is finding the vigilante hero and/or the cop who breaks the rules so acceptable. Also, I like to think my dogs would help defend me if someone was kicking the crap out of me. |
well, I'd imagine there'd be some shootings, then there'd be the people that carry with no intention of ever shooting anybody that think just because they've got a gun and if they wave it around a bit the agressors are gonna run at the sight of it, that find out right quick that not everyone they come across is afraid of a gun. |
I grew up right across the river and I do remember that shooting in the subway and the son of sam too!
