Anyone know of anyone who does engraving on Lower receivers local in Oklahoma? I am getting ready to buy a lower receiver for my father-in-law with the USMC seal on it and I would like to get his Rank, Name and years of service also on the receiver? Any help would be greatly appreicated. Thanks, B |
Some of the malls had engraving shops that would do it on brass plaques, etc. I do not know of anyone that does it for guns in the central Oklahoma area. You might try contacting one of the shops that makes trophies for schools, athletic events, etc. and see if they might be able to do it. They have engraving machines but they would need some way to anchor your receiver down and calibrate the starting point to where you wanted the engraving done. I really don't think you'll have much luck getting it done anywhere around here.

| A friend had his SBR engraved in Stillwater by a trophy shop. They did a nice job, but the type was nothing fancy. I believe he had it done in about 10 minutes though. For what you are doing, I would give Orion Arms serious consideration. It might involve stripping and shipping your lower to them, but I've only read great things about their work. |
