I completed the concealed carry class yesterday, and picked up my new GI model Springfield this afternoon. Things are looking up.

I've got a pair of parkerized Mil-Spec's in .38 Super. They run like tops. This is my first GI model though, I've wanted one since they came out, took a while to get one. This last tour in Korea finally gave me the excuse to spend the loot.

The only thing that my tour in Korea gave me was the desire to never go back.

I was at Camp Red Cloud, at Division HQ. The section I was in treated me very very well, and things at Red Cloud are very quiet. Nothing like Camp Casey(there my first tour) as far as crime rates go.

You can't really see it, but the engraving shows all the detail of the feathers etc. on the indianhead. This is the artwork I sent to have the grips done.

I've got a boy coming back from Ft. Lewis, being discharged from the 2ID, at the end of this month. He took one in the back in Iraq, shot by a sniper in a mosque.
While he was recuperating, trying to get above 70%, they had him escorting the fallen Strykers to their hometowns. Talk about a tough job for a recovering soldier to do.
God bless our soldiers, past, present and future!!!!

I was in 7th ID from 84-89. I was there when it went "Light". I humped my ass off for those 5 years. I drove from there home to FL. That was one long drive!

Definately not. I knew a few guys that stayed there as long as they could. No bills and just messing with the girls down in the ville. Not surprisingly, they were also the ones doing most of the black marketing too.
