Watching Heat and cleaning my FAL just stimulates me |
I once thought I could be very perverse. But ACman and Ndenway give new lows to perversion. I can't even begin to match their words, much less their thoughts. ![]() If only ACman could spell...... |
hahahahahah "speechless".... , bunny this is pretty Goddamned tame, sorta reminds of my time in Ms. Burgess's kindergarten class, hell Dan, if acman could spell worth a damn, he'd probably get all phylosophical on us and turn to shit like one of those kalifornia communistic hippies, so we'll just make do with the hickory nut version |
|
Wish I had known you guys when I was single -- damn DH is cute, but he sure rains on my parade sometimes I know I am setting myself up for numerous jabs and much ribbing, but does anyone here have a LEGAL cure for insomnia -- I have been up since about 3 now and I swear I am gonna start making human sacrifices if something doesn't give!! Later fellas!! Your deviant-in-training!! |
Tylenol PM works fairly good for a little while. A strong round of exercise around 6 PM will also help to put you too sleep 3 or 4 hours later. |
Ahhh, guys, alas, I have tried the Tylenol PM, the exercise and the "exercise". Get this, the doctor told me to sleep in the spare bedroom for 2 weeks to see if that solved my problem!!!! (Mary Tyler Moore here I come!!) That might be a temporary fix, but will not work over the long haul at my house (I am old, not frigid!!!!) I think they are gonna do a "sleep study" -- oh, yippee! -- if I am still having trouble in a couple of weeks. Ahh, the miracles of modern medicine.
|
ACMAN -- you stay away from my husband!! I don't wanna work no mo' -- I want to be a kept woman and an Stepford wife -- Dan, I am waiting for those tapes! Although, I dunno, Dan and I see eye to eye on more than one issue, so I am thinking it might just be like thinking out loud for me! |
If you think you can't sleep now just wait until they wire you up for that sleep study
|
hell bunny, just let Dan start talking about bigfoot or unions, that shit'll bore you into a coma pdq. btw, I dig a chick that shaves her legs everyday. |
|
Ndenway, you really hurt my feelings!!!!! I can't deny the existence of Bigfoot - you know why! And as far as unions go, they're responsible for a 40 hour work week, overtime pay, and a lot of other things you don't even realize. I'm not saying unions are perfect, but they have done a lot for the working class that people seem to forget. I've worked union, non-union, contract, federal and state government. I was a whole lot happier working as a IBEW journeyman wireman on places like GM, Tinker, Croosroads Mall, Quail Springs Mall, Dayton Tire, etc in OKC than any job I ever had. And made a good living for my family. It's going to be a whole lot more difficult for my son to support a family than it was for me. I was union, he's not. |
bunny, what'd I sa............... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I probably would have, maybe, said as much myself, all of yorks plants are union, except for norman, norman's plant was actually a subsiduary of york international, formerly called unitary products group, which was sold a couple of years back to johnson controls, but when it was UPG, it was part of 14 plants worldwide and the only plant in north America that wasn't union, hence it was made the world headquarters of UPG, funny thing about it was, when I was there we had much better benifits than the union plants, less pay, but benifits made up for it, I paid less than $8/week for my HMO family medical, when I changed over to a PPO it went up to around $28/week, our family medical (health, dental, vision, prescription) with 2 or each PPO/HMO to choose from, disability, death benifits for self and family, life ins, higher education assistance (UPG would actually pay 100% if it could be used in the plant), limited match 401k $.25/$1.00 up to 4% total, plus the plant had gainshares up to 5% of your gross earned salary/year, attendance bonus time paid (ab time earned for perfect attendance, taken anytime), plus vaction time, 2weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 12years, 4 weeks after 16 years and 5 weeks after 20years, now the other US UPG plants did make approx $1.50 to $3.00/hr more per pay grade, and a higher paid penision rate, $85/year of service oppossed to normans $32/year of service, but they didn't get near the same array of benifits, all the union plants got the same 1 HMO medical, vision, dental, prescription plan, disability, life ins, limited match 401k $.25/$1.00 up to 4% total, no gainshares, and only 2 weeks of vacation, plus they had to pay $45/week union dues, irregardless, we almost put the united auto workers union to vote, but GM OKC went on strike for 6 months at nearly the same time, it was still going to be voted on, until the man that owned 51% of UPG stock had the plant mgr hold a plant wide meeting and tell us to remember what happened at maddisonville KY, that he owned plenty of other UPG union plants throughout the country, that should we vote in a union, those other plants would welcome the increase in orders, that it wouldn't cost him very much at all to truck all the equipment to his sizable union plant in wichita Ks., and how a good number on norman employee's owed their jobs to those 1k+ former employees at maddisonville KY, those people voted in a union hoping to make more money, and it back fired on them, the morning after the vote was tallied and found to have passed, they arrived at the plant to find the doors chained shut, and a list of people taped to the door that would be transfered to other UPG/York/BorgWarner plants, that list contained the names of 10 people, some to elyria OH, some to wichita KS, some to York Pa and exactly one to norman OK, (I brazed units for that guy), and that should we vote a union in, there would be no transfers to other plants, he had more than enough union employees to fill all of normans orders if it came to that. now like I typed in my first paragraph, MAYBE I'd still be there, if york had a union that is, but MAYBE I wouldn't, because if we'd voted one in, the plant would have been shut down and moved to another state putting approx 1200 Oklahoma residence outta of a good paying job, the base rate was a probation rate gr 4 and it paid $10.08/hr, which after 1 year went up to $12.80/hr, gr6 brazer/forktruck driver $13.80, gr7 line brazer/welder $14.25, gr8 assembly utility $14.75, gr8 sheetmetal operator $15.65, gr11 setup $16.75, line/dept lead pay $.50 extra/hr, gr13 setup $18/hr, supervisors were salaried plus quality and production rate bonuses, R&D/QC made a flat rate $28k to $50k/year, unit mgrs and above made a shitload more than that, last several years I was out there I worked a dual rate grs 8/11 with all the OT I wanted plus I got paid as a gr11 with lead pay when I worked OT. I stay in contact with some of the people I worked with, at one time knew nearly everyone on the shop floor, so I'm constantly running into someone everytime I go anywhere around the metro, they're telling me that things really went to shit after UPG got bought out by johnson controls, it's no longer a family oriented plant, they now get almost the same INS. benifits as the union plants, with only a few of the old perks, the pay rate was increased to almost match that of the union plants, but it's the same old deal, if they vote in a union, johnson controls will close the doors and send orders to another plant, lots of people hanging in trying to make it to retirement, but johnson controls is really making it difficult on the people with more than 10 years of service, same old story as york, its cheaper to get rid of them and bring in new employees with less pay and benifits, so yeah Dan, unions are good and bad depending on how you look at them, but since Oklahoma is now a right to work state, I don't see very many new unions coming into the state, and for those that are here, I don't see them gaining strength in the future, hell I hear talk of unions trying to get into indian casinos, and it makes sence since the tribes are the biggest employers in the state, if it happens, it won't happen anytime within the next two decades, and by then OK will have been a true classIII state for a while, but thats not gonna stop them from trying to get the employee's organized in the meantime. |
ah hell bunny, you are special to me, and don't get me wrong, I do dig the chicks, but I dig the one thats with me the most of all. |
