Three balloons at 100, 250, 400, and 500 yds, 12 targets, 14 shots total allowed, 10 minute time limit. Targets are approximately 4" in diameter. It's happening in Alex, between Blanchard and Chickasha on May 5. No rail guns, no limit on optics, rifle must be manually fired. $45 entry fee. Prizes and lunch provided. Supposedly a rifle and scope are going to be given to the top shooter. Top 20 shooters will break even at least for the entry fee. Only 3 people allowed at the bench at one time - shooter, spotter, and the score keeper. You'll need a good spotting scope and someone to call your shots for you. Anybody interested in doing the shoot?

I'm giving it some serious thought. I just took a Choate stock off of my favorite 308 as well as having installed a new scope on it a couple of months ago. I'm back to working up a new load for it with different bullets, brass, and powders. If not, I may shoot my favorite hunting rifle, a 30/06. I broke it down today and did some work on it that I've been putting off since deer season. Inotherwords, I have two rifles to decide between. It ain't nothin' but range time!
