I have some die hard catfisheren staying with me this weekend and I want to take them somewhere to catch some fish. I fished at JH's on the river for the past two nights and have not had one bite from a catfish. It is impossible to use live bait because the gar are so thick. They find it in about a minute or so. DO you know a place where we can access the Skeleton that isn't overfished? I used to fish a place East off 74, but don't think I can find it now. thanks [email protected] |

Go to Crow Creek, 4 or 5 miles north of Crescent. Turn right, go east 4 or 5 miles, turn back north. You should come to a concrete bridge over the Skeleton in that area. It's been a while since I was up there, but the catfish and carp were easy to see swimming in the creek a couple of months ago. That's about the only area you can get to unless you go up to Hwy 51 and turn back west. Where the Skeleton crosses there is fairly easy access there. |
