Greetings,
I'm in Tulsa Wed and Thursday evening and Okmulgee all day Thursday.  I'm outta here on Fri.  Seems nice here but unfortunately didn't get too far from the damn hotel today.  Maybe venture out tomorrow evening.

What the hell happened to the river?

Got the skinny on the river.  Was having breakfast (at Steak n Eggs) in Okmulgee and got to hear some of the local gossip...couldn't make heads or tails of it.

You sure are a friendly lot and it's much appreciated.

Saw an armadillo dead on the side of the road and swerved right in fromt of a cop!  Thought I'd had it.  I've never seen one in the wild...now I've never seen a live one in the wild.  I had no idea you had them here.

I seen a bunch of live ones, never in the woods though, me and my 1# daughter chased one in downtown norman a couple of years back, chased it up grey st. from porter west to the tracks, people were pointing an laughing, guess they knew we were from the woods.

According to the people I spoke to the river is controlled by a dam up river of Tulsa.  Due to the drought conditions this year they have not released as much water downstream of tha dam.

I'm back home in MI now.

I've got to tell you this, I ate in Tulsa at Doe's Eat Place.  The smallest sirlion they had was 2lbs!  Dam fine eats but I had to leave more than half of that giant on the plate...well that was after 6 tamalies (the best I ever had) and two beers.  I thought I'd do better.  I gave it a try.

sounds like I'm going to have to make a trip to tulsa, 2lbs of cows ass chared rare, some tamales and beer sounds pretty good, would throw a woman in there but, she'd have to be before the feast, I'd be to full afterward.
