Green cards arrived today 
Now I can get an AK with a shoulder thing that goes up and I can go get my 30 rd mags from the farm

I can honestly say that you are the first who expressed excitement about it allowing for purchase of an AK with the shoulder thing that goes up, though this is indeed a good reason to be excited.

The devils in the detail as always but the law states " equipped with a magazine capable of of holding more than 20rds of ammunition at the time of the ofence " so as most AR's dont fold the 30 is the problem.
Now what about that pesky threaded by the manufacturer for a silencer bit ? Well that's even more easy to sort out just because the manufacturer threaded it to fit the flash eliminator doesn't mean it was threaded for a silencer the law is quite clear! Now some firearms do come so equipped with threaded flash hiders for silencers specifically so if it comes with one of those tacticool sure fire eliminators it's an assault weapon! This information took legal advice to get an opinion as the State Police help desk doesn't!!!! Even though the wording is very clear, now will a gun store sell you an AR not as an assault weapon? Well it's up to them it took a lot of driving around untill I found a store that would do some checking and research to find the truth of the situation they have got my business since. |
