Hi everyone I’m looking at taking a second language and I’m really looking at Spanish to help me in today’s job market. I have looked at Rosette Stone and I have looked at our local MTC for taking and learning Spanish.
I know MTC does offer this class later in the summer when school starts back. I also asked what method they use to teach with and its instructor taught. I like that in a way but in a way I find it to be very bad. I like the fact that with Rosette Stone they have a six month try and if you don’t like return it policy. I also like that I can use it anytime I want when I buy and keep and it does use visual aid. I can hear it, see it and talk back to it. My questions are- Has anyone taken it from MTC? If you have taken it what did you think of the class? Has anyone used Rosette Stone for any languages? If you have used Rosette Stone what was your experience with it? If you know of a better way or a place in the area to learn a second language please feel free to post away. I’m looking at the best way to go about doing this and retaining the information. Thanks everyone. |

I went to DLI for Dutch a long time ago. I know that DOD is using Berlitz alot in NORVA for languages. The best way is to immerse yourself as much as possible, speak with native speakers as often during the day as you can. Rosetta looks like it would be good to augment a community college or other class.
There are different forms of each language. Think how American English is different from British English.....hell even Southern speak compared to Boston...LOL. Try to find a "Native" speaker to help speak more naturally. Good luck |
