Recently there has been a number of business closing. Is it just the right time to do it or is the economy getting worse? I am in Manassas and have recently seen the following close.
La Monarca Furniture - Was not a good business model in the first place Bull Run Millwork Mercury Dealership |

I think that it's a combination of just businesses on the way out, plus the economy not being in the
best of shape, despite what Zero is telling us.... As for the list, ISTR reading elsewhere that Ford was phasing out the Mercury line, so that would explain that one shutting down. |

the buisness(bar) i worked for the last 6 years was run by a pair of inbred-jed redneck lovebirds who had borrowed about enough cash off of family members at the right time to buy in, they spent the next three years looseing all of their money and running the place into the ground. the ruining of the buisness and failure to issue the employees last paychecks was all on the hicks, however, the economy didn't help...
my father lost his job of 12 years in the shipping and receiving dept. of a college book store, the plae isn't shutting down but company wide they were cutting positions. this one an pretty much be blamed solely on the economy... from what i understand the local hospital did not give any raises this past year, and there is a 2 year pay raise freeze in effect. it's been widely discussed that it is not because of the move of the facility nearly so much as the passing of the health bill...
