I'm sure some are a little apprehensive of going to D.C. for the second amendment march on April 19, and don't like having to make a trip unarmed. Thought I would reference this thread I found in hometown just to spread it around. If you don't want to go to D.C. get as close as possible.
thread Basically, there is a group gathering near the potomac, as close to D.C. as possible while still being allowed to carry. All VA laws apply obviously. You can conceal or open carry a loaded handgun. You may carry an unloaded rifle or shotgun, but it has to be slung, cannot be brandished in any way (I am going to make this easy and simply open carry a handgun if I don't go to D.C.). Also, you may carry ammunition or magazines for said rifle or shotgun, but it cannot touch the weapon in any way. |
