Hey Guys I live about 5 mintues from this range! It has a beautiful, but small, lake beside it. If it is sunny and on the weekend and you want to go fishing bring your own rock to stand on. I thought I would post some pics to let you guys know what your missing in case you haven't been there. This range is about 5 years old. It has 25, 50, and 100 yard targets. There are 2 handicapped benches and about 10 taller benches. There is never a wait and I am usually there by myself or maybe only 1 or 2 other people. If you guys want to stop buy and fire off some rounds off exit 34 on I-79 let me know and I will run down. I would love to have some other ar enthusists to shoot with. I was down there today shooting my ar for the first time! GREAT DAY! The noveske really exceeded my expectations!

exit 34 on 79, that puts you just north of Charleston correct??? I'm in Elkins, long jog for me, but looks nice may stop off there sometime I have a reason to be down there
Now if the DNR would just put in a range for us in Randolph county we'd be set  There are so many places you could put a range in here. I always swore, if I owned a lot of land, I'd donate it to the DNR just to build a range on

Yea, I own 147 acres, but no since donating when the DNR took care of it for it. Yea is is just 34 miles north of Charleston, and no one ever has a reason to be down my way. I went to WVU with a bunch of guys from Elkins. You probably never heard of a guy named Luke Head.

| yea, I think his dad is a doctor up there or some shit. I met him Freshman year..that boy crazy. He is going to be a doctor and he said he is going to call his Firm Head & Associates. and abbreviate it Head & Ass. He should get pleny of business. I also know the Lee boys...Chris I think and Drew Stalnaker. You Elkin's boys party pretty fucking hard! |

I grew up not too far away and remember laughing when I heard they were going to put in a lake! Where exactly did you grow up at? Clay or surrounding county? Yea, man it is like a puddle compared to the Summersville Lake. We can't get nothing good around here. Although I am thinkful for it, and it is small enough so cops and DNR don't want to patrol it all the time. The summersville lake has DNR like crazy. |
