Has anyone been there lately? Was thinking of going this weekend and needed some opinions.

I went about 3-4 weeks ago I guess.  It was my first time out there and I was pleasantly surprised at how good of shape it was in. It's the only place around me to shoot rifles without joining a private club so it's the only option for me, but it's in prety good shape. Make sure you bring clothes pins for your targets.

The range is in great shape. It's only open for rifles and shotguns and is still closed on Mondays for cleaning.
The local range warden was handing out questionaires a few weeks ago in an effort to open the range up year round, and also to open it up for handguns as well. Hopefully enough interest will let the folks in Richmond realize shooting is a year round sport.

Oh....so back to the way it used to be? I haven't been there since they disallowed pistols.

Sure am, in my last year now. Not sure where I'll end up after this.

Really? Is there anywhere to fill one out online? I'd love for it to be year round and allow pistols.
