I am going down to Richmond early on Saturday to be a delegate for Cuccinelli.

Got a mini van with 7 seats.

4 seats left.

I will be leaving from the mixing bowl area.

PM me if you need a ride.

Any idea if concealed carry is prohibited in the convention center?

Or does your minivan have a safe for 7 handguns?

I will be OCing at the convention center. It is city property and VA state preemption applies.

Will they be serving alcohol  or does it have an ABC license?

Per the VA Alert

The Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) is holding their convention at
the Richmond Coliseum this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

VCDL needs a huge presence at this convention to influence proceedings
with our numbers.

We need as many of you as possible to meet with us and the delegates
at 12 noon on Friday at the Leigh Street entrance to the Richmond
Coliseum.  We will distribute "Guns Save Lives" (GSL) stickers there,
and then proceed to register together (there is a $10 registration fee
for those who want to attend as guests and not delegates).

Because many will not be able to make it on a weekday afternoon, it is
especially imperative for you to join us if you can.

Registering at noon on Friday will avoid a HUGE rush that is expected
on Saturday morning and, to a lesser degree, Friday afternoon and
evening.  But even if you can't make it noon on Friday, be sure to
come later that day or on Saturday or Sunday to make your presence
known and proudly wear the GSL sticker.

NOTE:  The Richmond Coliseum's policies say that firearms are not
allowed.  However, the tax roll shows that the Coliseum is owned by
the Richmond Housing Authority and managed by a private management
company.  That means that the Coliseum is public property and is
preempted from having a gun ban by Virginia law.

You should be prepared in the event that the Coliseum tries to enforce
its illegal "no guns" policy.  If you are carrying and are denied
entrance because of that "no guns" policy, remind them that the
Coliseum is public property and then leave and seek out a VCDL
representative  with a "Guns Save Lives" sticker outside.

There is a question as to whether or not the Coliseum meets the legal
requirements of a restaurant or club with an ABC license.  If it does,
then open carry would be required.  If you choose to carry, you might
consider open carry because of that uncertainty, but that is
completely up to you.

Let's fill up the Coliseum this weekend!
