so i understand you have to be 21 to be able to actually carry the concealed weapon with permit...but can i be 18 and take the classes necessary to get the permit when i do turn 21?

Yes. There's no requirement that someone be 21 prior to taking a class and training does not "expire".

We often have students 18-20 taking the class ahead of time. No issues.

A handgun is not required for our class.

so some classes you are required to bring your own handgun, some you dont...ok thanks i will look into it further...thank you for the help

All of our handgun classes require a handgun and, in the process of learning how to shoot, you will fire live ammunition (not air soft or some other substitute). If you do not yet have a handgun, we have loaners of differing action types available. I am sure other training groups would offer the same.

i have family that has handguns im sure they would let me use one....but just to ask how much is a rental

I don't charge anything extra for use of the handgun. I do ask that people bring ammo for it.
