I'm moving from Chesterfield county where my CHL was issued to Richmond city.

What do I need to do to get the address changed?

Go to the circuit court clerk's office in the jurisdiction that issued the permit. Bring proof of the new address. I'll be doing mine on Monday and they said all I have to do is fill out a request for a duplicate and they'll reissue the permit with the new address. State code says it should only be $10, James City County wants $14 so we'll see...

That's what I thought, I Just found it to be pretty weird, especially considering I am moving to a different jurisdiction.

Last week I talked to the clerk of the courts office and they told me as long as my DL was up to date that there was no need to do anything with my CHP. This was in Montgomery County. I don't know if the law is different in other counties.
