I learned of this organization during the Sterling Festival a few weeks ago.  They are a grassroots organization that is fighting illegal immigration on the proper front: It's a legal/economic issue, not a race issue.

If any of you guys in the Loudoun area are interested, there is a meeting this Thursday, here are the details:

Illegal Hiring and Illegal Migration
October 25, 2007, 7:00 pm
Founders Hall, Ashburn Volunteer Fire Rescue Department 20688 Ashburn Road Ashburn, VA 20147

I intend to go, just to learn more and support this organization if I like what I hear.  I think with the strong support that we're seeing to deal with illegal immigration in the NoVA area in general, now is the time to keep the momentum up.

They have some links on their website to similar organizations for other parts of Virginia.

Hope this useful to ya.

Report back how it goes, lost cause IMO.

I view the issue of illegal immigration not as a win/lose outcome, but more like a tug of war.
The progress of the battle is measured by how far the center flag is to one side of the other.  The only time it becomes a lost cause is when we let go of the rope.

I will follow up though, I hope to hear good things and see an opportunity to get involved, as this is an issue that affects us all, gun enthusiast or not.

Fed gov let go of that rope long ago.  I just don't think local govs will do anything to really solve the problem because of the inconsistencies between locales.

Sorry to be so negative, but with sanctuary cities being setup in the area the illegals will just flee to those areas.

I'll bet the farm that the next POTUS grants a wide amnesty.
