First off, I live just outside of Charleston, WV. I checked the NRA classes and there isn't one offered near me in the next couple of months. Does anyone know of an alternative class (reasonably priced), scheduled soon that's close by?

I'm looking into the same, I can't find any around me in Elkins. Just ask around in some shops, and check in the papers, normally they will post there.

If Fairmont isn't too far out of your way, there's a lot of classes there over the next couple of months (check the NRA website). I still may go to one of these if I can't find one with less than a two hour drive time.

There's a guy named EJ Smith who taught my class a few years ago. His number is 744-6567 (it's in the Yellow Pages -- otherwise I wouldn't be posting it).

You can usually find his fliers/business cards on the Gander Mountain bulletin board as well.

ETA he's off of Corridor G in the South Charleston area.

Dave at Marsteller's in Morgantown puts on a top notch
NRA CCW class. He's been an instructor for years and
I believe he's been to several advanced training classes
at Storm Mountain out around Romney.

We are having one here in Bluefield real soon. $12, consists of one evening class and a Sat morning range visit, about 50 rounds worth.

Damn seems like everything is in Bluefield and Beckly!! Need to get down there more, but thats a hell of a drive from elkins.
