Hi everyone,

Just got the chance to shoot my husband's AR-15 (that I gave him my okay to buy, HA! HA!!) and I LOVED IT!!!!  I could have shot up all his ammo.  I was told if I keep this up, I will have to learn how to reload.  This was the best money he ever spent on anything.  I wish I had one in every room.  Our 22 yr. old daughter loves guns and she's a great shooter just like her daddy.

Welcome to the hometown forum.  We've got a good group here.  You should come to one of our group shoots one day.  If you think an AR15 is fun, you'll go absolutely nuts when you get to play with a full-auto MP5 or M4.  Beltfed weapons are fun too.    MJD

I was thinking the same thing, being only 22 myself.  It's so hard to find a lady that's into the same activities as me.  MJD

Yes, a 22 yr, old daughter who is engaged to a 25 yr. old guy who loves guns as much or more than her daddy.  He has gotten her into hunting, fishing and etc. Her first fish she ever caught was a 32 lb. striper.

Welcome.

To be fair, going on an Internet gun board and saying "I have a 22 year old daughter..." is an invitation to trouble.    Don't take it personally.

glock23carry,

You will be surprise how she is able to take care of herself.  She acts more mature than most women 25 or older!  Got a good head on her shoulders thanks to her dad and me.

Keep trying,   I took my wife to the Hite-Hollow meet&greet shoot,  had her to pull the trigger one time.  From then on she has been infected as we left the range out of ammo, (and I had well over 300rds).

What did you do after the first 5 minutes?  300 rnds = 5 minutes.

I took my wife who had only shoot a ruger 10/22 and let her shoot my 1911 and my mini-14 and she just keep want to play with more.  So I got the green light to build my AR that I want as long as she gets to shoot it too. You just start them slow and then some learn to love it as long as the noise doesn't bother them.  Bought my wife electronic  hearing protection and she still uses double HP but loves to go now that all the noise of the indoor range doesn't bother her.  makes me a happy camper Good luck

Welcome!

It's always good to see a woman getting into this addiction...I mean activity.

I'm lucky (now), my girlfriend LOVES to shoot. Especially my .357 (of all things).
My ex is quite the opposite and is currently trying convince my 5 y/o that guns are bad.

Welcome!

You found the Virginia Hometown Forum... that's great!

The General Discussion Forum requires a thick skin usually.  I recommend not posting a "New Female Member" thread in there.
