I'm up in New Jersey for a few days visiting my son and his family...GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!

Holy shit, for the past two days I've seen and had to deal with every imaginable asshole there is. Customer service? No such thing up here. Courtesy? Oh, please.

I now realize why gun ownership is so restricted up here...these bastards would be shooting each other left and right!

Thank God I get to head home tomorrow.

Yeh I was up there for the first time a couple weeks ago. They don't even need to display signs when you cross over from PA to NJ, you can tell by the roads.

Try living outside of McGuire AFB in an apartment in Camden for a few months.

Never again.

I was stationed at McGuire for two miserable years. Living in Camden would have made it unbearable.

Gee, I thought it was just me!

My wife loves Atlantic City and makes me drive her up there at least once a year.

Last time we went, we stopped at fast food joint for lunch about 15 miles from AC and had a local family come over to my truck right after I parked and started yelling foul language at me and my wife. Calling me a warmonger and murderer and blaming ME for single-handedly starting the Iraq war for oil just because I have a DOD/base sticker on my winshield.

It seems every time we go, something like that happens with the locals. Whether it's my southern accent or my Virginia plates... I wish Vegas was closer to Virginia, I never had a problem there.

Went to New Jersey once. Biggest bunch of a-holes I have ever seen. I know why anyone there is not allowed to have guns. When we fron VA go there, we would shoot all of them! Thank God for the great state of virginia!!!!

Hey, don't forget some of the Jersey board members such as MAP and Bobby the Hun, are great guys. The Jersey board members usually represent up to 20 percent of the students in the VA training classes orginized by Virginia Dinger.

Bobby the Hun has even made it down to both of the Virginia Blastfests along with one of his fellow Jerseyites.

However, Real Virginian did proclaim them both honorary Virginians.

Thanks for the kind words, Bladerunner, I'm sure the guys were referring to the general populance, the further you go north in Jersey, the worse the attitude. It is still good in the southern parts, but stay out of Camden, Newark in general. There are over 100 Arfcommers registered here behind enemy lines, most of us locked in for one reason or another, sooner or later, we'll get out. Anyone that isn't bolted down should REALLY get out of DODGE, NJ is sliding into a deeper shithole than ever before and 80% of the people here can go with it.

My mistake...I should have clarified that my comments about the fine folks in New Jersey (State Motto: "Fuck Everybody But Me") excluded the members of ARFCOM who happen to be living there

Having moved to NJ from TN a few years ago, I've noticed that gunnies here (NJ) are generally much more dedicated to the sport and their rights than I saw in my home state.

It's easy to become complacent living in the actual US, but here in NJ you're under constant attack.

There's been a handgun ban bill introduced pretty much every session since I moved here.  AWB is still very much in effect, and with no grandfathering of pre-ban items.

The law here is stacked against gun owners.  The state court system asserted that a Marlin Model 60 .22LR is an "assault weapon" in sending its owner to prison, stating in their decision that "When it comes to firearms, the citizen acts at his own peril."

I never felt the need to call my state-level elected officials about pending gun law in TN...it's a semi-annual thing up here to call and/or write and get their attention on a stupid bill.

With all that said, and excepting AFRCOM gunnies, I completely agree with the rest of the derogatory comments!

I spent most of my years in NJ.  Even without the ridiculous firearms laws, just the taxes alone are enough to prevent me from ever moving back.

I do make the trek up there about once a month though.  My parents are still up there, outside of Trenton.  My in-laws are just outside of Camden.   The plan (according to my wife) is that when we decide to spawn an offspring, to move closer to both sets of parents.  Fine by me... but it'll be on the Pennsy side of the river.  I will never call New Jersey "home" again.

Isn't there a sign in NJ that says: " The Rest of the World Makes, Trenton Takes!"

It has been my personal experience that the best thing about New Jersey is the Turnpike because it's the fastest way to get out of there!

If you get the chance, find the Bloodhound Gang song titled "The Ten Greatest Things About New Jersey".  (It's 10 seconds of silence)

At one time, people had to pay tolls when entering and leaving NJ. Years ago, they stopped collecting tolls from people inbound and only charged to leave. I remember the joke going around saying that the reason for the change was that no one was happy to pay to come in...but would gladly fork over money to get out!

It is on one of the older bridges crossing the Delaware, It is something like "Trenton makes, the World takes". I don't think Trenton makes anything anymore except stupid laws.

Bobby, maybe this Spring we should organize a mobile VA BlastFest 3 and come up and bust y'all out there? We got Bladerunner now and he might can fix us up a VA BlastFest Air Assault Team too

I see you've been out of the farm loop here . . . I just happened to stumble upon a new truck in November. Yes, it was truly wonderful. Another cousin sold me his almost brand new cherry pristine 1983 F-150 which he bought new. So my White Knight is now parked down in the bottom by the pond awaiting its ultimate fate. Tannerite anyone?
