Does anyone know where I can get cheap access to a moving van.  It doesnt have to be in good shape or anything just able to run.  I called Penske and U-haul and it seems outrageous.  Moving is not cheap.  Penske wants to charge me 100.00 a day PLUS .79 per Mile.  Uhaul wants to charge me 30.00 per day with a 25.00 for insurance and then a deposit of 150.00.  I am in the Spotsylvania area.  found a very nice house there and just need help finding a cheap place to rent a moving truck.

Here is the house. (My first.  moving from a 2 bedroom apartment.)  CANT WAIT ! ! ! ! !

Let me get situated and I will let you all know when to come over for a Cookout, 20X30 deck.  bar is in the basement, and if in the winter time to come over for football or other events there is a woodstove downstairs in the same room as the bar.  The Mrs. Told me that is MY room yeah.  Looking forward to moving cooped up in a 2 bedroom apt. right now and I will let you all know.

Druffick-check with a local self storage facility.  Some of them will have a 'free move-in truck'.  If you rent a unit from them, they will let you use their truck for the cost of the gas.  Some units cost around $65/month.  They may have certain qualifications as far as size of unit, length of stay, insurance requirements, deposit, mileage restrictions, etc.  Ours, you can have all day as long as you don't go more than 26 miles away.  (I honestly don't know how we can track that)  Move-in or just pay a months rent.  Extra storage is nice to have. :)  It's been done.  My .02

Our store is in Alexandria, so not much help there.:(  Our store actually doesn't have a free truck but 2 of our sister facilities here do, first come first served.  I did a brief search and I can't recommend anyone in your area, but  www.route17.com has a free truck in Fredricksburg? (I'm new here) for a start.  I know nothing about them or their policies.  I searched 'self storage Spotsylvania VA' for grins and giggles and got lots of hits with phone numbers, and many broken links.  Our stores only require proof of insurance and driver's license (plus fuel) if memory serves me.  Any questions you have about self storage I will be happy to answer.
