If and when the AWB Sunsets what would be your preference to retrofit your AR's? Complete Upper Assemblies, barrel assemblies, or even complete kit's with all the goodies? Post your preference. Steve. |
I can to everything on the lower myself between figuring it out, reading this site, and having the other VA-Arfcommers show me. I can't thread barrels, weld, install front sights or barrels. I think most people will be looking for at most a complete upper, possibly just a barrel assembly. One of either with no crap on it that I won't use (CAR handguards, etc.) would save some money. Plus then I have more excuse to by high-speed bolts, carriers, PRI charging handles, BUIS, etc.  My suggestion: Pre-ban configured, crome-lined M4 and A2 profile Barrels. |
| Screw rethreading barrels. If everything goes as planned the next Black Rifle Day will be the weekend after the sunset. I'm planning on setting up the afternoon for refitting anyones rifles that wants it done. I know there will be several people at the BRD capable of this, myself included. I'll know more about the next BRD at the end of this coming week. |
You can find out some info on the BRD_HERE . We won't be doing any rethreading at the BRD. There will be a lot of other things going on during the day either way. |

Add to above: M4arc or someone in another thread posted about a gov't profile (heavy forward of FS frame, LW under handguards) mid-length 16". Chrome lined, 1-in-9" if not 1-in-7" twist. That would be something completely new, other than a few custom ones I've seen. I'd really like to put that on my A2 upper, especially since it would mount a bayonet!

I heard my name! Yeah man, I really want to see a chrome-lined, 4150, 1:7 twist gov't profile mid-length barrel...in pre-ban configuration of course I keep waiting and waiting and waiting... As far as the AWB sunset goes, I'm leaving all the Cav Comps on my post-ban rifles because quite simply, they work. I will be adding collapsible stocks any post-ban carbines I have. However, a couple of my post-bans will get refitted with A2 FS so I'd like to have that service available. |
