What ever happened to the free training for disabled vets?  I guess I need the 8 hour class but I kind of don't want to spend over 100 bucks for it.

Based on posts at Illinois carry, http://www.alphakoncepts.com/ used to have free disabled veteran training. Don't know if still offered.

Thanks, I am pretty much looking for the cheapest 8 hrs. I might be able to take it for free but it is held during the week and that is a problem. I do not plan on carrying I just want it done for when we leave the state.

Since when have you had a problem taking a day off during the week?

Hi, I believe you were talking about my offer.  I am still offering free concealed carry for disabled vets. However I have made some changes.  I would prefer to work with veteran groups, and prefer to use their facilities.  If you are a member of any veteran groups or even if you have a group of disabled veteran buddies and we can use your facilities I can offer my time absolutely free.

I will accept disabled vets in my public classes, however I had added some conditions for this. Minimum 20% disability rating and not more than 1 free student or 10% of the class size (which ever is larger). I had to come up with these added requirements because I ended up with some classes where there were more free students with a 5% rating than there were paying students, and although i really do want to help our disabled vets I am paying for this out of pocket and was losing too much money. If you are not of at least 20% rating, please see above option for the veteran group.

I do ask that each attendee provide a letter form the VA showing their disability rating.
