Hi I am looking for a disconnector spring that goes under the trigger group in a ar15.

Does anyone know of a gun shop or gunsmith that would have this part in stock local (sw burbs) so I don't have to order it on line?

Thanks

If that's the spring I'm thinking of I may have used a cut down spring from a click style pen to get my gun running again until I could get a real deal one.

ETA - yep that's the one. Get a non-GI one from a local hardware store. As long as the specs are similar it should work fine - or at least until you can spend the $3 at Brownells.

The disconnector spring is tappered. I don't think you will find that at Ace Hardware.

Get a real one. Don't play with the trigger group parts.

Thanks for the help, I was not going to put anything but the real deal back in it. I'll check mega sports.

Good to know if mine ever goes flying across the room the day before a match

There are a couple other vendors who might have it. Try DSA or M&A Parts.
