| My first house was in Hanover Park. It was a so-so area when we moved in and it was going downhill fast when we moved out in '98. Plenty of gangs, drugs and illegal aliens. I would avoid it, there are plenty of other areas to live in near there. The only thing Hanover has going for it is low housing prices. |
| Hanover Park has some rougher areas but also has some good areas so it really depends. I live in Bartlett which is right next to Hanover Park. Im also in the real estate business on both the brokerage and appraisal end, I have done alot of work in Hanover Park over the years..... there are some good bargains there currently. If your looking for a more solid area in terms of home prices along with better kept homes then looking into the Bartlett or Roselle area may be a good idea. |

We've been here since '08 and have been very happy. Hanover and Carol Stream have had gang activity on a huge increase for the past 5 years or so. Apparently a lot of the higher ups from the larger Chicago gangs have moved to HP and CS as of late. |
