Because I can be so intermingled at times to the intensity level here, I just wanted to say this.
I have talked to alot of you guys for a long time. Some of you I have met, others I have not. But in these divisive time, I do want to say I respect you guys, even if I come off as an ass sometimes. This has always been, and I am sure always will be an outstanding medium to discuss the things we agree and disagree about. Like Larry1096's similar thread not so long ago, I am sure in the real world, if we were all at a BBQ, we'd all co-exist great. I thank you guys for putting up with me. You guys and my wife, I feel sorry for you guys

Patriot, you can provide some fun reading material on this forum. We had a little disagreement a long time ago re:Boomers[I am one] but would want you standing next to me if I had to argue a point with someone. You're passionate about what you believe in. Just be careful if your driving through Round Lake Beach during the day-son is working days now[RLBPD].

I think you just said something else we can agree on. If I'm not mistaken, a while ago you made a post talking about how times are difficult and sometimes we wind up a little on edge. I agree. This whole tax, pension, social security, general uncertainty, etc., etc....time we are going through might have us all in abit of a funk. I know I'm agravated by it and I assume many aware, thinking individuals are. I'm planning to try to lighten up and go with the flow, as hard as it is sometimes. Anyway, I'm sure we all have more in common than we think. We must or we wouldn't all be here. While we might disagree sometimes, I hope no one harbors any hard feelings. Personally, I don't and hell, I'd buy any of you guys a beer. |

When minds collide, well, combined with women, this is how wars are started.
Yesterday, your thread about driving reminded me of the great Bob Dylan song "Ballad From a Buick 8" I'm going to work on going with the flow too. I'm getting too old for this P&V

We (and I am a big offender here, myself) have to remind ourselves that the real enemy is 'out there.'
In here are the people we agree with on about 90+% of the important issues, versus the tax hikers, gun grabbers and other leftie folks working hard to change the world for the worse. Larry |
