I wanted to say a huge "thank you" to Garret - aka rubble - who ran Elgin Transfer until very recently. I had a number of fine firearms come through his service, and I'm positive the same can be said of many IL ARFCOM members. Garret welcomed me, a total stranger, into his home. He treated me in the same hospitable manner that I treat people who visit my home. He spent his own free time making sure we didnt get raped just because we wanted to purchase or transfer a firearm. Hell, even his cat was nice.

Thank you, Garret.

My fiance called on his services and said he was very courteous, and I hear he's a motorcycle rider as well!

I agree completely.  I only did one through him before he closed, but he is a pro and a very good guy.  Thank you for your work!

What's the story behind the business closing? Time constraints, zoning, financial, BAFTE being jerks to small FFLs, all the above?
