It's time! The Midwest Gun Collector's Assn annual Open Range Day will be held Sat, June5. Factory Reps and firearms from Armalite, Springfield, Remington, and Marlin will be present and available to test fire, including the AR50 bolt action 50 BMG calibre rifle. Glock, Smith&Wesson, also will have representation. No admission will be charged, but manufacturers will charge a "nominal" fee to cover ammunition cost. Rifle, pistol, shotgun, and trap ranges will be supervised by NRA certified instructors so manufacturer personnel will be avaiable to you, to answer your questions (like why springfield lied for so long about not making an XDm45) FFLs will also be present to take orders on any gun with which you fall in love. Presley's will be demonstrating on the archery range, and food will be available. MWGCA range is located at Rt26 and Washburn road south of Lacon Illinois, twenty minutes north of E. Peoria.
Rumour has it the Peoria Area Cadre will have one of their "Dinner at Richard's" events that evening. It's also the date of the East Peoria Throwdown MMA card at the Oaks (where they have the gun shows) |
