No waiting period for pistol or rifle in Ohio.
Since you live in Illinois I am assuming the wait could be up to 72 hours as lowers can be considered pistols. Just depends on how its registered. If you really need to know, head on over to your local firearm dealer and ask. |

not in Ky, and if you have a KY CCW permit, they dont even have to call in the instant check Same here in Arizona. If you have Az CCW fill out the form, pay the man and walk out the door. It doesn't matter if your buying 1 or 100. But then Arizona is in the "Wild West" ... LMAO If you don't have Az CCW then a phone call is made and you could have to wait or be denied. |

From the Illinois State Police website:
"Does Illinois have a waiting period for firearm purchases and does it apply to private sales? Yes. Illinois law requires withholding the delivery of a concealable weapon (i.e. a handgun) for at least 72 hours and a rifle, shotgun, or other long gun for at least 24 hours. This applies for gun dealers and private sales. http://www.isp.state.il.us/foid/firearmsfaq.cfm |
