Looking for someone in McHenry or even Lake or Kane county that is home and that also
has spare small parts for a BCG. Namely, I need the Firing Pin retaining pin. I lost mine and my carbine is now a club. Although, I did buy a bayonet, I feel "naked" without my rifle being able to be fired. Can anyone help a brutha out? If not, hopefully GAT has them in stock, and I will run down there tomorrow. |

Worst case you could always pick it up there. |

Thanks Scott.
Well, this is my lucky day. I hadn't cleaned any of my weapons in a while, so, this little hair up my ass said, just clean them all! Since I am on medical leave, I figured I would set up a card table in the Garage, open the doors for ventilation and go to town. I did 2 pistols yesterday and started to do the M4 by soaking BCG and other small parts. Previously, I had taken the BCG apart and had them loose in the case, when I opened it up on the hood of my car, I found the carrier, bolt, cam pin, and firing pin....no retainer pin! Argh! Took apart my rifle case, looked on the ground and on top of the hood. Ok, can't find it, will go Saturday to GAT. Hey hey, closed on 4th. (Thought the sign said closed only 1 day, Christmas. Was wrong, 7 days, incl. 4th of July. Doh! So, drove back to McHenry, started to clean the AR pistol, put that case up on hood of the car after having been driven 40 miles, lo and behold, found the pin! Never mind guys, found it! Thanks! |
