Yep.. everyone wanted Blago gone...
Now with him out of the way we're going to see movement on everything we don't want that had been held up because everyone hated Blago and didn't want him to be able to pass any of his agenda. The state GOP is powerless, but was only marginally weaker than the democrats because the dems all hated Blago.Now everyone is going to try and rally behind Quinn. As I said in an earlier thread.. we should have kept the cluster F... in place. While Blago was a corrupt turd he was a turd preventing a lot of crap from being passed. Now we've lost the big corrupt turd and we'll be seeing a bunch of crap that had been stuck in the drain get flushed our way. Think the GOP will stop it? A bunch of them say we need to up taxes. Not a good trade imo. The only good thing that can come out of this is if Blago cuts a deal and rats out Obama for offering a bribe. In which case... the worst thing that would happen is Looney Toons Biden would become President... again... not a good trade. We'd have been better off with Blago and getting someone who didn't suck to run against him in 4 years. Very soon we'll see the price of this victory. |
