I’m looking for some AR500 hardness steel locally there’s a place up in Rockford but that’s too far to drive.
Does anyone one know of any local shops that have AR500 hardness steel? Thanks |

Did your try Shapiro Supply in St. Louis? They have all kinds of aero-space and defense contractor surplus, they may have your plate there. I once found a couple of five gallon buckets of .40 brass there while digging around. efxguy Thanks might have to go over there Monday and just take a look at what they got. |

Thanks What thickness do you want and how much of it? 3/8's and was hoping for at least a 12x12 plate or a 2/3 size IPSC plate which is 11.7 x 19.5 and was wanting two of the IPSC plates |

Deal with the younger guy that is doing most of the work. He will give you a much better deal. |

I have some 3/8 Ar but I don't know what hardness it is..it's got surface rust on it so you cant see any of the markings on it, If you dont have any luck I can ask the boss what hardness it is but he wont be back till next week (after new years) Let me know when you find out, you can’t ever have too much steel... Whats the size of the steel? Thanks for checking, I appreciate it. |
