They are better than decent. They are some of the best for fit and finish. They mate well with most uppers, much tighter than some of the Anvil Arms lowers I've used for builds.

Don't be greedy. Care to share your source?

I got a stripped Stag but I'm going to get a couple Anvil Arms receivers with engravings.  A receiver is a receiver.  That said I'd pass on Superior as I heard Pmags don't drop free from them but if you just use USGI mags you will be fine.

I've had fit problems with safties, trigger/hammer pins, and Magpul enhanced trigger guards on the Anvil Arms lowers.
Sure, they look cool and you can have them engraved but so what, if you can't fit the parts in there who cares?

How about SuperiorArms?Nice receivers.I've had no problems with them. I've had a RRA that had a tight mag well.

It's good learn of some criticism for Anvil.  I searched and found good feedback but your comments might have me reconsider.  As far as Superior I read quite a few folks indicate that the mag well is little tight and Pmags not dropping free.  I've had good luck with my Bushmaster and DPMS receivers.  I just want to get a couple extra.  Don't need it but what the hell.

I guess i'll have to get a P-mag and see but, I have never had any problems with any other mags in mine. Aim has them for 80.00 Plus you can set a stock trigger take up I think it is. With the set screw.

I've never had any issues with Stag/CMT, or LAR although I don't use them to often. LAR makes forgings for Bushmaster and a few others. I've found the Stag/CMT lower to be the most consistent.

Their lower parts kits are top notch as well.

Anvil Arms are not bad lowers, I've just had a few issues with them. The others I use are readily available so why bother?

I've heard good things about Charles Daly lowers but do not have any first hand experience with them.

I have several early Superior lowers and they did not fit P-mags.  All were taken care of by Superior and work fine with all mags now.

I also heard the current Superior lowers are just fine with all mags...

Well all I can say is I love my Stag. It shoots great and it's very accurate.

With that said, I was wondering if I could get some recommendations and assistance for same. Some time down the road, God willing and a certain candidate doesn't win the Presidency and if he does, he doesn't take away all our rights, IF HE GETS IN.

Because I'd like to get a new TCG. What I want help with is what brand, Timney? Chip McCormick or some other brand. I know there's a few good TCG's out there. Also, what will fit a lefty Stag? What do I want to watch out for, if anything?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated and I THANK ALL IN ADVANCE...

NO ONE can take away our rights! They are ours for the keeping!!! Although we may have to shed blood to make that understandable. The anti-liberty crowd can shred up and do away with our Constitution completely but we still have the inherent rights we were born with as does every human being. Your statement and statements like yours sound as if the right to protect our property (property being our very bodies) is a privilege rather than a GOD-GIVEN UNALTERABLE RIGHT. Learn truth...speak truth!

I have one in the safe that I'm going to build when I have a few more available funds.  I bought 2 consecutive serial numbered stripped lowers from RB Precision (www.rbprecision.com - go there, look around, and contact them if you have any interest - Robert and Krista are top notch and second to none)

I recently built Dad a 16" Carbine Varmint gun for the Coyote problem we have at the shop.  I have a 24" Varmint for long range shots but we put a nice 14 power scope on her and voila, he's got a sweet rig.  Now, if we can just make it to the range and test it out, I would be much happier.

I don't know how people can buy a gun (or have one built) and not shoot it immediatly.  I'd be taking the next day off work to go to the range.

I decided to go with a couple RRA lowers from ADCO for I think $125 each, I'll verify later.  I requested ADCO send a copy of their FFL to Bass Pro in Gurnee.  $35 for transfer and it's close to me.  ADCO also has CMMG receivers for $100.  The RRA will keep my stripped Stag company.  Threesome!

I've done a stag build with a buddy on a Beowulf and had no issues with fit, finish, or function.
Stag Arms is part of Continental Machine and Tool or visa versa?  Note the addresses of each:

Continental Machine Tool Company, Inc.
533 John Downey Drive,
New Britain, CT 06051

Phone: (860) 223-2896       Fax: (860) 224-8479

And this is Stag Arms address:

Stag Arms
515 John Downey Dr.
New Britain, CT 06051

860-229-9994 (USA)

Now if I'm remembering what I saw on American Rifleman sometime back when they did a show on Stag Arms and interviewed the owner, who if I remember correctly is the son of the owner/founder of Continental Machine and Tool. Continental Machine and Tool does make for all those listed above, Stag is part of that company so they make their own now and the son of the owner of Continental wanted to get into the market of making ARs. The owner and President of Stag Arms is the son of the Owner/Founder of Continental Machine and Tool. Something like that anyhow. I remember seeing the show and hearing this I just do not remember the exact chronology of who owns what, just that they're connected. And as you can tell by the addresses, they're basically right next to each other and if not, they're dog gone close. lol
