Illinois State Representative Aaron Schock, Peoria Heights, has proposed a concealed carry bill.  An article was published about Aaron in the Peoria Journal Star (www.pjstar.com) recently and the concealed carry bill was mentioned in the article.  Any of you out there who want to show your support, send him a letter.   I would suggest contacting your local state representative to ask them to support the concealed carry bill.  We need to keep hammering away at the people in Springfield to get this done.

Aaron is also running for national office and he wants to replace Congressman Ray LaHood, Peoria.  If you want someone like Aaron Schock in Washington D.C., you might throw a few bucks his way, put up signs, write letters, etc.  You can find out about him by googling his name.  I have met him and he is a good,  hard working man.

This needs to be in BOLD, and dropped into GD if it hasn't yet.

It's about time. I'm going to dig into this tomarrow. I pray it gets some traction. I'd post some more positive, but I'm so pissed about the tagging ammo bill I can't see straight.

I applaud Aaron for his support of the 2nd, but it looks like we will lose him to the U.S. House in Nov.  I plan to chat with him at igold.  He used to own property in the neighborhood, and seems like a pretty good guy.

It will be interesting to see who gets the nod in the 18th. I like Schock, but I don't like the idea of a Dem getting that district back at the state level, and it is a risk.

Yeah, considering the ghetto broad who is running from Peoria not only lied about graduating from college in typical Bill Clinton fashion, but also has a record for shoplifting.  Granted she got caught shoplifting when she was 18(8 years ago), but it goes to impulsive behavior.

Rules is 3-2 Dem. I doubt it will ever make it to 2nd reading. I give Aaron credit, though, for at least introducing it. I noticed there were no co-sponsors.As an aside, I'm waiting to see what happens in the DC v. Heller case.

I think that in order to beat the machine politics that keep on getting shoved down the rest of this states throats will only go away if and when ALL ILLINOIS GUN OWNERS get pissed off and finally get off their backsides regarding the gun grabbing that goes on in this state.
For too long many gun owners in this state have thought the laws being passed in Springfield related only to handguns or guns in the city or cook county. Everyone always thought that their precious hunting guns, target and skeet shooting guns were safe from the grabbers. WAKE UP ILLINOIS GUN OWNERS!!
We are all in this together. If we want to keep our guns we need to get out and vote the gun grabbers out of office.
Get active, write, call, fax, attend IGOLD...Just do something....

Well with the shootings in Tinley Park, perhaps we can gain some traction.  I am tired of the fact that I cannot carry a gun to protect myself.  And I know I am not the only one.  I would suggest contacting the NRA and asking them to start harping about it, like they did when the Virginia Tech shootings happened.

unfortunately, there will be panic legislation to try to grab our guns even more. It'll be FOR THE CHILDREN and that if they only take away our guns then this wont happen agin.

The more and more details that come out on the Tinley Shooting make this an textbook example of why things need to be reversed.

Tinley's  pretty much a crime free suburban area. Half Cook County half Will County. (need to find a date , but there hasn't been a murder there in years)
Less than 4 minutes away from the police station.
5 murdered execution style, All woman. #6  survivor Woman shot in the neck. (must have played dead)
One victim from Indiana a CCW state. But against the law here.
$200 dollars and some valuables reported as a "theft" by the Tribune today.

Some nice pictures of the police running around in the parking lot with Ar's and doing House to House searches in a soccer mom heaven (freaking out of the residents). Yet still unable to bring the offender to justice 48 hours and counting.

The icing on the cake would be if the guy is a career criminal with an illegally gotten firearm and he's been slipping thru the legal system for decades.   Only time will tell.

If we cant turn the tide with this kind of information, I don't know what will.
