I used to drive all the way down to the Shawnee National Forest from Northern Illinois every year to get a deer with my shotgun before I moved to Texas. Anyway, Good Luck and Good Shooting to you all.

It's more than 10 years ago since I hunted there. My hunting buddies always drove while I slept. It was a long way from Cary. All I can remember is that we were in Pope County when I woke up.

Got a place between Cary and Crystal Lake, bad thing is that the corn is still up! I hope I will have a pic up this weekend of my kill.

I'm not sure yet. I friend of mine from Macomb has 140 acres down there. I get to go 2nd season. I'll find out and let you know.

Corn fields can be very productive if you utilize it correctly.

Killed two this weekend. Killed a buck with my pistol for the first time. I have killed many many with the shotgun but this pistol hunting is a blast.
