A question for the good folks here. Does anyone know if there are any limits in Illinois on how many handguns one can purchase within the same month? I bought a gunadgun 4/23/07 and I want to get a Springfield XD before the price goes up any further but I'm just worried if this is allowed or will it red flag me since I already bought a gun not too long ago. That is true if you buy 2 in 5 or 7 days (cant remember right now) the dealer needs to fill out extra paperwork and send to the ATF and the State Police. Not sure and the watch list thing or investigation part, I have had to fill out the paperwork for multiple sales several times and never heard from either of the 2 parties. I think they probably are understaffed to investigate every multple sale. I always wait longer than the 7 days to puchase handguns just in case. |

| Thanks for the great info guys. While i'm mostly a lurker in this site, I am very active in writing my politicians (that means you Cronin!!) and letting them know how I feel about situations. I have written about that new bill and hopefully it doesn't come thru. I am really appreciative of all the people in both the NRA and ISRA and others who are very active in protecting my rights. I am currently in the process of signing up for the ISRA. Thanks again. |
