If you are an FFL holder, you already know...but Form 4473's are now being printed in - you guessed it. SPANISH!!! I threw my copies away. I speak English, I live in an English speaking country, and if you can't talk to me - you are definetly not buying a gun from me. I'm all for a culturally diverse country...it is what we were founded on. People move to the "land of the infadels" for a better life and opportunity for themselves and thier children. I agree this is the best place on the planet to live - well, maybe not Illinois, but you get the point. Our country is critiqued in so many ways yet we have one of the highest - if not the highest immagration rate across the globe. We need to leave the borders open to anyone willing and wanting to move here - at the cost of a written test - in English - and an interview followed by a background check (We don't want Jack the Ripper II on our streets now do we?). On doing this, we also need to quit sending jobs across the borders and give our newfound citizens something to do while they are here besides McDonalds and under the table work. Ok, I started ranting - I'll get off my soapbox. Bottom line - Look for your 4473's "en espanol" Bob "Land of the Infadels" was used soley as a mockery to the opposition of our efforts in the Middle East. That is certainly not my belief - Just FYI |
Dude, you blew it..... Taqueria Tepa is awesome. No Flautas are finer and the Carnitas are very flavorfull. JR |

Alright , Des Plaines Honestly , I think we have come here & spiced up this country alittle or just enough to take another drink of a good cold Mexican beer, Another language isnt so bad , it has open doors for some, multi language speaking folks are more sought after. I would agree on something as getting a firearm , If some thing needed fixing you wouldnt order from Brownells & start the conversation on the phone with ( HOLA ). I think next time anyone is walking into a good mexican restaurant & a mexican bum asks you for change ,,,( ah..sorry not to many mexican bums out there , i think i know them all , they all stay around my neck of the woods ..) I think Spanish is a beautiful language & who knows , the way were spreading , it might help to know some Spanish oneday............ Pep. |
I wasn't hungry at the time I took the picture, but I'll keep it in mind the next time I pass that way. |
That is right up the road from my office!
|
wow I had no idea you were an FFL Doug! However this is America. Speaking the language shouldn't be optional. I for one welcome our new south of the border overlords... NOT! |
Amen!!!! As a business owner (construction) I REFUSE to hire anyone who doesn't speak fluent English. I will not hire illegals and HAVE kicked subcontractors off my projects for bringing a crew of either Spanish speaking or Polish speaking illegals. I have also told the cashier in Jewel once that could not communicate with Mexicans to not encourage them and made her ring up my groceries first as I had cash, was a citizen and mspoke English I have also been very vocal in my kid's school about the entire classes of non English speaking students an dtheir parents. I like many, many others left that community recently and my kids will be in a new school in Fall. |
Guess what? NO ONE in this country needs to learn Spanish amigo. Mexicans NEED to learn English. Mexicans have not spiced this country up in the least. I just moved out of a town that was literally over run by Mexicans. 8-10 kids in a house, the schools are broke, the district had to close a school because they were so over burdened with kids (the tax base covers on average two kids per home, not ten). We couldn't even buy school supplies for our kids anymore, we had to buy massive bulk pencils and such for a "community" bin because the Mexicans who have "spiced up" American did not buy their kids school supllies. They also got free hot lunches, no school registration fees and front door bus service because their Mothers don't drive or speak English. To top it off, I sealcoated my driveway last Fall and parked my truck across the driveway so no one would accidently pull in. My fine illegal neighbors across the street backed out of their driveway, right into my truck and fled. The Cops wanted to bust them badly for hit and run, they knew they did it but their vehicles were so riddled with rust and damage, the police simply couldn't do anything about it which resulted in me putting a claim in on my insurance, spending $500 on my deductable, couple hundred on a car rental, lost time at work to deal with it all and just a general headache. Mexicans are a massive, massive drain on our economy. They have next to devestated my business with underbidding and shoddy workmanship at best. I am sick and tired of hearing how much they do for this country. That may have been true twenty years ago. Now, they are law breakers whom DEMAND things from a country that they aren't even citizens of. Enough is enough. If I am the only one to have the balls to say it, then so be it. Mexican immigration needs to be frozen for at least 60 years. We have a surplus of Mexicans at this point and they are doing nothing but bringing us way, way down. If we don't stem this tide of illegal Mexican immigration we will first see race riots, then we will see America become a thrid world nation. We simply cannot afford to carry these people any longer and their south of the border living standards are not our standards. I have been to Mexico 5 times. It is a very poor filthy country riddled with corruption. Obviously, instead of trying to fix their own country, they have opted to come here, bring their third world standards with them AND expecting us to assimilate to them. I have a buddy who is a firefighter who received a call a few weeks back about a non english speaking man passed out on his garage floor, they thought it was a heart attack call. When they got their, they found him dead and 11 children throwing up and having seizures. Turns out the dead Padre in the garage was running the car in the garage with the door closed drinking Tecates and listening to annoying Mexican Polka music. House filled with Carbom Monoxide, killed himself, one kid and gave one baby lifelong brain damage. Mexicans are also number one in defaulting in medical bills, helping to drive health care costs through the roof. They have multiple children and tax payers foot the bill for the delivery. And when they commit a crime? They simply slip over the border and come on back when the smoke clears. So, you heard it here pep. You heard a little of what the mainstream media refuses to report. Enough is enough. I have no problem with Mexicans. What I do have a problem with is an overly arrogant race of people who left their country in disgrace, only to come here and proclaim their Mexican pride and REFUSE to assimiltae to our culture. At some point, this will become a military matter, there will be no choice. The border MUST be militarized NOW. |

Interesting , good points I guess i kinda understand how the Mexicans have affected you directly, I cant really say i know first hand about those things, my parents both own homes/ seperate , also my bro's & sis's have never been in trouble w/ the Law , most all have jobs that provided's them w/ health insurance / the youngest ones still have to be covered thru my Dad. I guess that severe problem w/ border jumpers. I cant really say first hand , I dont live there. I'm sure it's a problem , & will get dealt with. Let me know of the program that pays you to go to a poor filthy country cause thats the only way i would ever go (5 times). take care guys & goodluck. Pep. |

I haveno problem with people who come here legally. I have no problem with people who come from far away and are busting their asses to earn enough to suport their family. I do have a problem with folks who come over illegally and end up essenitally stealing the tax money that I pay by using the public schools, public facilities, and eating up the pavement on the public roads. I do have a problem with any busines that is so cheap they will hire someone who doesn't speak english to work the drive-through window or front counter and expect me to struggle to give their business money. I do have a problem with people who come here and expect their culture to be catered to- if you want to speak your own language that is fine, but learn the national language too. Catering to people so they do not have to become part of American culture, which includes speaking English, really means in the end you have two countries occupying the same physical space. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what the end result of that is. |
