Has anyone traded with RGUNs in Carpentersville? I'm thinking of checking them out. Do they have a range?

Never traded with them.  No range.  Never bought anything from them either, they just never had anything I wanted.

Oh wait, I did buy a sling from them before I knew better and started to make my own.

They do not have a range.  Their store is basically one large 30'x30' room with plenty of neato stuff inclduing a tripod mounted ORF 1919A4 (which is for sale) and glass counters with pistols, rifles on the walls behind.

The staff there can be pretty gruff, although at least one guy in there is really friendly.

They do apparently take trades/purchase used guns as I have seen some used sutff there.

I buy my lowers there.

Theyve developed a bad mail order reputaion, but in person I've had no problems.

They have the best deal around on complete DPMS lowers -- $199 + tax.
Lots of nice DSA & Krebs toys on the wall.

Usually some good used handgun prices too.

I have bought several guns from them. No complaints. The guy to talk to, I believe his name is Jeff, has black hair and blue eyes. He usually brings his dog. He is one the top three people I have dealt with in a gunstore.

I've done business with them before.  No problems from my POV.  Never understood all the bad mouthing they've rec'd.   Good folks IMHO.

I called them and asked if I could call in my FOID number that day and pickup a $99 DPMS stripped lower in a day or two. They said that they have to see my FOID in person and pick it up the next day. It's about 100 mlies one way (my bike gets 50 mpg) so I had to look at options.
I called RB Precision next. They had no problem with me calling in my FOID and picking up later. They have the Superior Arms stripped liwers for $85. Rode the bike out  (FZR 1000) (in the rain) (again about 100 miles one way).
We did the paperwork and he asked me 'how does $75 sound?'. Sounds good, with tax and whatever else it would be under $100.
Guess what - $75 TOTAL for the Superior stripped lower!
$75 for the lower and $12 for gas for the bike = one great deal!!!
