Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith in NE Illinois or SE Wisconsin? I live in the Gurnee area, and I’m looking for someone who can true the action on my Rem 700VS and chamber/install a new barrel. I know I can ship it off to one of many good gunsmiths, but I’d rather say local and deal face-to-face with someone if possible. |

Only place I can reccommend is Shooters Sports Center in Racine, WI. You'll want to speak with eithe Jim or Josh. 262-681-1040. You robably won't get ahold of Jim on the weekends, but there's a good chance Josh can help you. You can also try Gander Mt. in Kenosha, WI, but I'd like to see you help out the guys who are AR freindly. |
