| You know I had to explain why we needed an electoral college to someone. They felt that the vote should go to a popular vote. At least the electoral college kinda keeps it fair. To think, if we went to a popular vote, what kind of effect would Kalifornia, Chicago and New York have on the elections? |
Nobody knows Obama, and there was hardly a campaign run against him. Daley didn't have anything to do with fooling people, they CHOSE to support a Democratic unknown over a known conservative firebrand, much to my chagrin. IL went to Bush the same as any other conservative Red state, except for Cook County. What do you have against us Downstaters anyway? If it weren't for us, Illinois would be worst than Alabama, California, Mexico and Washington DC put together. I'll grant you that Obama fooled many many people down here, but they won't make that mistake again unless Obama radically changes his tune. It is hard to fly under peoples radar when you are a rising star and are one of the most liberal members in the US Senate. |
